This spindle “Regina” is a very rare named spidle, i only name spindles when the really speak to me, this spindel has the most amazing Purple Gidgee whorl that looks black in the shade and has a beautiful purple depth in the light, the abalone is of the highest quality and really adds to the design. the olive wood and the queen ebony gives it a very regal feel. you will not be disappointed with this spindle. I feel this is the best spindle i have ever made.

This heirloom quality spindle is a hand made item, designed and made by Jory Freyee, in the workshop of TheSpindleshop.  None of our products are outsourced. This item is in stock and you will receive the item as shown these photos.

This original design for a a small support spindle has a thin straight shaft and a larger diameter twin wood whorl at the base. The spindle shaft is made from Dymondwood for strength, stability and long service life. The spindle tip is made from an insert of titanium - one of the hardest metals - for extreme long life.

The spindle is finished to a very smooth surface, polished with a french polish and then a final gloss of carnauba wax for a long lasting shine and protection.

Your spindle is checked for quality and spin before despatch and comes with tip protectors and a signed slip with the woods used listed and date of making.

This spindle has a long very fast spin and excellent balance. Stability is great due to the proportions of the spindle and the shape of the whorl. A silver pin insert in the whorl perfects the spin and balance of this spindle.
